Taking Care of Granite
Here are some tips for taking proper care of granite countertops:
- Use Gentle Cleaners: - Opt for pH-balanced, mild cleaners specifically designed for granite surfaces. Avoid harsh chemicals, acidic or abrasive cleaners, as they can damage the granite and strip away the sealant.

- Warm Water and Mild Soap: - For daily cleaning, a mixture of warm water and a few drops of mild dish soap can effectively remove dirt and spills. Use a soft cloth or sponge to wipe the surface.

- Microfiber or Soft Cloth: - Choose non-abrasive cleaning tools such as microfiber cloths or soft, lint-free cloths. Avoid using rough scrubbers or abrasive pads, as they can scratch the surface.

- Avoid Acidic Substances: - Acidic substances like vinegar, citrus fruits, and certain cleaners can etch the surface of the granite. If acidic spills occur, wipe them up immediately.

- Blot Spills Quickly: - Granite is porous and can absorb liquids, leading to stains. Blot spills with a paper towel or soft cloth immediately to prevent them from seeping into the stone.

- Seal Regularly: - Granite countertops should be sealed regularly to maintain their resistance to stains and spills. Follow the manufacturer's recommendations for the frequency of sealing.
